Full Time Board and Train

Our board & train program is available to those who are physically unable to train their own dogs.  It is limited to dogs that fit in with our family since they will be living with us during training.  Training takes from three to six weeks.   Your dog will learn:

Prices vary due to individual temperament and size of dog. Please click here for a list of approximate prices.  Please note: These are only examples, and are subject to change.

*All puppies must have completed all rounds of vaccinations in order to come live with us (usually these are done at about 16 weeks).  We cannot guarantee your dog will not have accidents in the house after returning from board and train, but we will teach your dog the “Go Potty” command to make housebreaking easier.

To begin training your pup at an earlier age please consider private training.  The earlier you start, the better for both you and your dog!

Why do we limit board and train to people who are physically unable to train their dogs?

Training builds a bond between the handler (who does the training) and the dog.  This partnership is essential in a successful training regimen and in maintaining training once the trainer is no longer in the picture.  If you hire someone else to train your dog you remove yourself from that partnership, and the training is not nearly as effective.

In addition, dogs do not generalize well.  What this means is that a dog that is trained by one person may not understand commands when they come from another person.  We find our clients who train their own dogs are much happier with the results.
